The Cromwell Mark IV is a tank featured in Hell Let Loose. It is the medium tank used by the Allies in Driel. With its Rolls-Royce Meteor engine, the Cromwell offers reliability and speed, while being a powerful medium tank. It has the same cannon as the heavier Churchill Mark VII.
History[]
The Cromwell and its development siblings were a further development of the Crusader and provided the basis for the later Comet. The Cromwell first saw action in the Battle of Normandy in June 1944.
Armament[]
The Cromwell Mark IV features a 75mm gun for its main cannon. This gun is capable of engaging heavy, medium, and light armor. Both AP and HE shells are available for use, with HE being more effective against infantry with its large splash damage.
The Mark IV also features two Besa 7.92mm machine guns, one fixed onto the turret, which is controlled by the tank gunner and the second one fixed on the front and controlled by the tank driver. They have an ammo capacity of 200 rounds before needing to reload with a total of 6 boxes of ammo, allowing you to put a steady barrage of suppressive fire on enemy infantry.
