A garrison is a structure that all players of a team may redeploy on. It is only buildable with the commander, officer, or spotter roles by using the Watch and requires supplies.
Behavior[]
The standard garrison allows teammates to redeploy on it every 40 seconds. HQ garrisons allow deployment in 10 seconds.
Garrisons may be built in friendly sectors for 50 supplies or in active enemy sectors for 100 supplies. Garrisons cannot be built in neutral sectors or locked enemy sectors.
Only 8 garrisons may exist at any given time, and they cannot be placed within 200 meters of one another. These restrictions do not apply to garrisons which are already present at the start of an Offensive match. If a garrison needs to be dismantled to make way for new ones, existing garrisons can be dismantled manually by either the commander or by the officer that placed it. Additionally, the commander can use the "Dismantle Garrison" ability to remotely dismantle a garrison.
If an enemy is within 50 meters of a garrison in friendly territory, the garrison marker on the map will display a red ping. If an enemy comes to within 15 meters, the garrison marker will become entirely red, indicating that the garrison is overrun/locked. This prevents players from redeploying on the garrison. Garrisons within active enemy territory are disabled if an enemy comes within 100 meters. A killed or downed player will not lock a garrison.
Like outposts, garrisons also emit audible radio traffic. If an enemy is near enough to trigger the red ping described previously, the radio will emit minor static. If overrun, the garrison will instead emit only static.
An HQ garrison will disappear from the map and become unavailable for spawning when the enemy team is capturing a point in the same sector.
Destruction[]
Aside from the actions of the commander and the officer, a garrison will be destroyed if:
- The sector containing the garrison is captured by enemy forces,
- It is within the radius of a Satchel, Molotov, AT-rocket, AT-gun, Bombing run or Katyusha strike, or tank shell explosion.
- It is manually dismantled by enemy infantry.
HQ garrisons cannot be destroyed. If an HQ garrison is not on the map, the enemy is assaulting your team's final point in the same sector.
Time to Dismantle[]
- Garrisons in active sectors take 5 seconds to dismantle.
- Garrisons in locked enemy territory (beyond the active capture sector) take 30 seconds to dismantle.
