The Karabiner 98k x8 is a scoped bolt-action sniper rifle featured in Hell Let Loose.
As a sniper rifle, the Kar98k x8 works similar to a regular Karabiner 98k, however it also features a scope with 8x magnification. The scope allows for excellent sniping action - allowing shooting from a distance where the opposition has no idea as to where the player is. However, it has two drawbacks. First, because the scope is in the way, the rifle cannot be reloaded by stripper clip if the whole mag is used, requiring individual bullets to fill up the mag. Second, it requires the player to get out of aiming downsights if the gun is to be cycled, which can potentially lead to a player losing target acquisition.
