The Thompson is an American submachine gun featured in Hell Let Loose. It is utilized by the United States Army and the Allies and is available in the loadouts for several roles.

M1A1 Thompson - this is the default weapon for the Level I loadouts of the American Assault, Officer, Commander, and Tank Commander roles. It is also available to the Anti-Tank Level 6 loadout and the Automatic Rifleman Level III loadout. The M1A1 Thompson has a 30-round magazine. Compared to the older M1928A1 model, the M1A1 Thompson was simplified and made cheaper to manufacture. It operates under a straight blowback operation rather than delayed blowback, and the charging handle was moved to the side of the gun rather than the top. It also cannot accept drum magazines.
M1928A1 Thompson - this is an older model of the Thompson that is used by the Allies. It is available to the Assault, Officer, and Anti-Tank roles, and its presence in loadouts depends on the time period and setting of the map. The M1928A1 Thompson has a 30-round magazine.
M1928A1 Thompson with Drum - this variant has a 50-round drum magazine, offering additional ammunition capacity over the standard 30-round stick magazine. It is only available to the Automatic Rifleman and Assault roles.
