The M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle featured in Hell Let Loose.

As a standard-issue semi-auto rifle for a Rifleman, the Garand is a well-balanced weapon, favorable for mid-range combat. It holds an eight-round magazine that is reloaded by an en-bloc clip. Compared to the bolt-action Karabiner 98k, the semi-automatic nature of the Garand allows for a much faster fire rate which often translates to higher killing and suppression potential. However, due to the small 8-round clip this rifle is still poorly suited for close-range battles. The Garand is also famed for its distinctive "ping" of an empty clip being ejected, which can be used as an auditory marker by the opposition to designate an empty and reloading Garand. However, this sound cue will not trigger if the player initiates a partial reload (that is, the loading of a new clip before the current one is empty).
