Offensive is a game mode featured in Hell Let Loose.[1]

In this game mode, one team attacks while the other defends. The match is split into five stages, with one strongpoint per stage. The attacking team has 30 minutes to capture each strongpoint; after a successful capture the match timer is set to 30 minutes. Once a point has been captured, it cannot be recaptured by the defender.

Unlike in the Warfare mode, the attackers and defenders must stay inside the strongpoint to capture or defend the sector.

The attacking team starts with 500 of each resource and the defending team starts with 250. Each team will generate 30 of each resource per minute assuming no nodes have built.

Only the defending team has access to artillery, which can be found in their middle HQ. Additionally, attackers cannot advance more than two sectors (that is, a total depth of 4 grid squares) into enemy territory.

The defender starts with three garrisons in the second sector, in addition to their HQ garrisons. These initial garrisons cannot be destroyed by explosives or fire, including bombing runs and Katyusha strikes.

Victory Conditions[]

There is one victory condition for each side:

  • Defenders: hold any strongpoint until time expires
  • Attackers: capture all enemy strongpoints before time expires

If the attacking team is capturing a strong point when the time runs out, the match will go into overtime and the attacking team's manpower will decrease at a rate of 5 per second.[2] The game will end if the attackers' manpower reserves reach 0 or the defenders regain full control of the strongpoint.
